2022 Round 11 Trucks Results
Truck Series Recap:
Last night the Affinity Constructions Trucks Series headed to Phoenix Raceway for the second last race of Season One. 24 Trucks took to the grid, on the front row, Jason Martin and Hamish Gallagher would lead the field down to green.
An almost.. calm and collected start to the race ensued as the drivers worked around and settled in to an early race pace. Martin and Gallagher settled into positions 1-2 while Ryan Jones, Luke Trahair and Andrew Dyson, filled out the top 5.
The green flag run continued into the first pit cycle with drivers pitting from lap 55-65, Ryan Jones being one of the first leaders to hit pit road enjoyed around 15 laps in the lead before Jason Martin who pitted 10 laps later reclaimed the lead and continued the next run where he left off, out front.
The race continued under green flag as it wound down to the later stages, Martin continued to run away with a couple seconds lead over Andrew Dyson who had also gotten around Jones. Martin was able to hold a 2 second gap coming to the closing laps, taking the checkered flag and his first ANZCAR win of the season!
