Truck Series Recap:

Monday night the Affinity Constructions Truck Series raced the second last round of the Championship which was hosted at Pocono Raceway. Jaiden Russell as quick as ever took the top spot in qualifying followed by Andrew Dyson in a rare Truck Series appearance.

The green flag dropped and the field embarked on a long 200 mile Monday night race. Russell kept the lead on the start but was pressured by Dyson in the early stage of the race as the field got into single file formation early as the setup was reportedly quite tight.

At the quarter way mark the top 5 led by Russell, Dyson, Jason Martin, Edward Foster and Hamish Gallagher had put a little distance on the rest of the field and between laps 30-35 the pit window opened for the leaders.

At the half way mark, Russell continued to push out in front, now creating a gap back to 2nd place Martin and the race continued like this until the next set of pit stops on around lap 60. Russell continued to gap the field after the pit stop and only a yellow flag would ruin his race.

Luckily the race went green for J Russ, a good battle for 2nd was happening 6 seconds behind between Martin, Gallagher and Foster with Martin gaining the upper hand in the closing laps, but the field just didn't have the pace for Russell as he rocketed home for the win!
