2022 S2 Round 2 Trucks Results
Truck Series Recap:
Texas Speedway held Round 2 of the Affinity Constructions Truck Series on Monday night with an almost at capacity grid, 36 ANZCAR Truckers to duel it over 100 laps. Jackson Callow set himself up as the fastest in qualifying, Troy Davidson 2nd fastest.
An early yellow would slow the start of the race up with an incident on the front stretch but after that was cleared a nice 40 lap green flag run commenced with Edward Foster taking the lead from Callow early in the run.
The lead was contested between Foster, Callow, Davidson, Brad Allison and Luke Trahair. Hamish Gallagher steadily moved his way through the field to take the lead before the 2nd caution flag of the night waved, bringing with it a cautions breeds cautions type scenario.
After 5 quick yellows, the race played out between Luke Trahair in the lead, Scurlock, Foster and Ruben Phelps with a 17 lap run to the finish which was hotly contested by all drivers. Phelps was able to take the lead with 13 laps to go, holding off Foster who was running him hard and even looked to have made a move for the lead stick in the closing laps which helped out Phelps as 2nd through to 4th became entangled in their own race helping Phelps get away to a 0.181s lead and to score the win on the night!
