2022 S2 Round 6 Trucks Results
Truck Series Recap:
Dirt track racing returned on Monday night for the Affinity Constructions Truck Series with a 100 lap battle around Knoxville Speedway. 20 drivers took the grid with Jaiden Russell winning Heat 1 and Steven Williams grabbing the win in Heat 2.
The start of the feature kicked off nice and cleanly with the Truckers logging 33 laps before the first caution of the night fell. Russell plugged along nicely in the lead with the field slowly spreading out behind him. Once the first yellow fell however, it was yellow fever until the end of the race, clocking up 10 caution flags in 60 laps.
Midway through the race Rob Fletcher was able to make a big move to the outside of Russell in turns 1-2 for the lead before another yellow flag and Fletcher was able to keep his truck out front from there on out.
Russell was involved in one of the incidents and had to come back to challenge for the lead from the back of the pack, but Rob Fletcher was too good on the night racing away for the win.
However! During the post race inspection, the #71 entry of Fletcher was disqualified when the team was unable to produce any telemetry and the win was then handed to 2nd place finisher Jaiden Russell!
