2022 S2 Round 8 Trucks Results
Truck Series Recap:
Monday night the Affinity Constructions Truck Series raced at Kentucky Speedway in a hotly contested race that came down to the wire. The race started off with a nice green flag lap run which included a green flag pit stop.
Most of the top 10 were able to keep themselves in touch with the lead pack before pit stops commenced and not long after the pit stops, the first yellow flag of the evening fell when Ryan Jones was sent around in Turn 3.
The ensuing green flag run was also another lengthy run, which was hotly contested by Hamish Gallagher and Ruben Phelps who spent several laps battling and banging away for the lead until about 8 laps to go when the 2 finally went around on the back stretch which took out the majority of the field behind them.
This set up a couple of short green flag runs to the finish with a couple of wrecks occurring late in the running. The race would end up going to a Green/White/Checker finish with Jaiden Russell taking the win followed by Jason Martin, Garry Wellman, Adam Malone and Kye Turner.
