2022 Series 3 Round 10 Trucks Results
Truck Series Recap:
On Monday night, the Affinity Constructions Truck Series made its debut round in the UK, heading to Brands Hatch Indy for the series inaugural round. Andrew Dyson paced the field in qualifying with Ryan Jones in 2nd.
The green flag waved and the field was off for the 60 lap event. A couple of run offs at the back of the pack while the top 10 paced themselves through the first few laps. Jones made a mistake early trying to keep pace with Dyson and Hamish Gallagher also came unstuck in turn 2.
The race played out with 2 varying strategies, the majority of the field would hit pit lane at around lap 30, splitting the race in two, while Mitch Motorsports drivers along with Jaiden Russell elected to stay out and fuel save their way home over the entire 60 laps.
This option worked out well as the race cycled through as they ended up gaining 5-10 seconds when it was all said and done. Dyson was able to run them down later in the race however, as he crossed the line for a win with Hamish Gallagher and Josh Michelmore behind him.
