2023 Series 1 Round 10 Truck Results
Truck Series Recap:
On Monday Night the ANZCAR Truck Series went short track racing again, this time at North Wilkesboro where 20 drivers would attempt the 130 lap race where Hamish Gallagher once again showed his muscle putting his #13 Ford on Pole.
Gallagher rocketed away at the green flag but was tailed closely by Ryan Jones who had managed to get around Josh Michelmore for 2nd early, but Gallagher's speed would start to show at about the lap 10 mark where he would start to pull away from the field.
The laps ticked away pretty quickly as the field stretched out, Norman Clark and Steven Williams rounded out the top 5 when the first caution of the night fell on lap 60.
The race resumed with Ryan Jones on the point courtesy of a quick pit stop under caution. Jones and Gallagher battled side by side for the lead for several laps before Jones was able to slot ahead and the two would race close and hard until the 2nd caution of the night fell on lap 75.
Pit strategy through some curveballs to the leaders as some drivers elected 2 tires over 4, or staying out of the pits entirely. Jaie Schultz would lead the field back to green on lap 80 with Shaun Doecke and Norman Clark rounding out the top 3.
It didn't take long for the 4 tires to prevail as Jones hit the lead again on lap 83 and only 5 laps later Gallagher had made the move back to the front, this time showing off his raw speed as he sped away to a 7 second win at the conclusion of 130 laps!
Again, big shout out to Chequrered Flag E-Streaming, the boys do a wonderful job bringing the ANZCAR Truck Series to life through their broadcasts and spreads or following far and wide, so thank you, you can check lasts night stream out right here!
