2023 Series 2 Round 9 Truck Results
Truck Series Recap:
On Monday night the ANZCAR Truck Series rolled into Bristol Speedway for a 130 lap short track race. 18 entries filled the field led by Jason Martin who sat on Pole alongside Ryan Jones.
It didn’t take too long for the first caution to come out with a single truck spin on lap 4, but after that it was relatively clean sailing for much of the race.
Martin piloted his truck out front and paced the field from Andrew Dyson, Ryan Jones, Steven Williams and Parry Anastakis. About half the field pitted from the mid point of the race onward but the leaders stayed out trapping those that had pit 2-3 laps down. A wreck within the final 20 laps of the race finally bought the leaders onto pit road and it was a battle to the end.
Dyson was upfront after a round of yellow flag pit stops and led the field back to green for a couple of laps before Martin stuck his nose underneath, sending Dyson around to bring out the 3rd and final caution. Dyson was able to drive back through the field into 4th place behind Jones at races end, Michelmore in 2nd and Danny G rounding out the top 5.
But the night belonged to Martin who dominated the race and took the chequered flag!
