The 2023 Season concluded tonight with a final hit out for the ANZCAR Truck Series at Atlanta Speedway, 2008 configuration. Josh Michelmore came into the race as clear favourite to win the championship and his start in the race would be all that was needed to clinch the trophy!

Jason Martin started the race from Pole but it didn't take too long for Michelmore to work his way into the lead from a 5th place starting position. Michelmore would lead the first third of the race with Martin, Neale, Andrew Dyson and Matty Raymond rounding out the top 5. Green flag stops first happened on lap 42 for the leaders with Michelmore cycling back to the lead on lap 51. Neale had driven up to Martin for 2nd by lap 67 bringing along Dyson close behind who was one of the last to hit pit road. The three enjoyed a little battle with Dyson getting the better of both taking 2nd on lap 73 as Michelmore skated away by 4 seconds.

Lap 83 saw Michelmore pit from the lead again, a lap later than Dyson who was now hot on his heels on lap 84. The two locked horns in an epic side by side battle for 10 laps with Michelmore getting the best of it with 18 laps to go. From there Michelmore was able to hold a constant gap on Dyson bringing home the victory and the championship!!
