Truck Series Recap:

On Monday night the ANZCAR Truck Series rolled into Iowa Speedway for a 120 lap race in Round 8. Ruben Phelps posted the fastest lap in Qualy edging out Josh Michelmore in 2nd place.

Jack Barrett made a good start to the race chasing down the lead quickly and pulling away once in front as the field single filed out a little. With a short field of only 11 entries the drivers had to manage their pace as a yellow flag seemed uncertain.

By lap 20 Phelps had driven to the rear of Barrett and was in the lead by lap 23 when Barrett made contact with the wall coming off of 4. Phelps held the lead for a while after before Michelmore started to reel him in and would take the lead shortly after lap 50 with Hamish Gallagher now up into 2nd place after starting from the rear.

Green flag stops happened around lap 60-70 for most drivers, Michelmore would come back out in 8th place and had to work his way back through the field but now Gallagher had cemented himself out front and would continue that way until the checkers dropped with Michelmore in 2nd, Jason Martin 4rd, Ryan Jones 4th and Matty Raymond in 5th place.
