2023 Series 3 Round 10 Truck Results
Truck Series Recap:
On Monday night the ANZCAR Truck Series raced Round 9 @ Texas Speedway.
Josh Michelmore clinched Pole Position alongside Ruben Phelps.
The 100 lap race would throw up a bit of a curveball at the drop of the green with the top of the field electing to fuel save for the majority of the run.
This led to Karl Withey storming through to the front and running away with the race for a bit. Michelmore elected to drop through the field with his fuel saving strategy while Phelps eventually drove to the lead after Withey had dropped off a bit.
Around the halfway mark pit stops begun with Michelmore staying out the longest and he would have a bit of ground to make up in the second half of the race.
With enough fuel saved in the first run however, Michelmore was able to go 100% for the remainder of the race. Phelps dropped out due to mechanical problems which left Garry Wellman well out front of the race but as the laps wound down, Michelmore closed in and was able to take the lead. Wellman and Danny G would then fight it out for 2nd place with 5 laps to go as Michelmore drove away by 3 seconds to victory!
