2024 ANZCAR Bluegrass Street Stock Tour Round 3
Wednesday night saw only 8 drivers contest Round 3 of the Bluegrass Streetstock Tour at South Boston Speedway. Duane Burns claimed his third pole position, ahead of Ashley Dodgson, Shayne Bowen, Garry Wellman and Karl Withey.
An early caution kept the field bunch up early before Burns and Dodgson started their race long battle whilst slowly pulling a gap over the field. Burns would take his fifth straight win by just under a second over Dodgson, with Wellman, Bowen and Withey rounding out the top 5.

Starting places for the Feature Race were the inversion of the finishing places from the Sprint Race, with Tom Williams and Ben Heneker off row 1, with Shayne Bowen and Karl Withey from row 2.
Williams got a good start and led early, whilst Dodgson and Bowen made quick work of the small pack to be side by side battling for second, with Burns close behind in fourth.
17 laps in and Williams was struggling with his rear tyres, drifting up the race track and allowing Dodgson underneath into the lead. Once on the highline, Williams was easily picked off by Burns and Bowen before being able to get back to the low line.
Unfortunately for Williams, his night came unstuck on Lap 34 and bringing out the caution and bunching the field up for the dash to the finish. Dodgson was able to maintain the pressure from Burns and claim the win by three tenths and giving Burns his first defeat of the series.
