Gen6 Series Recap:

On Monday night the Gen6 Series tackled Auto Club Raceway where Christopher Ireland took out Pole position for the 100 lap race, Ryan jones would start on the front of the outside row.   

Ireland took the early lead once the green flag dropped and the first quarter of the race went by caution free with a great battle up front between Ireland and Ashley Dodgson and by lap 30 Karl Withey and Ryan Jones were all in a hot contest as the top 4 broke away from the rest of the field. Varying pit strategies would cycle through the field with some cars coming down pit land as early as lap 50 and others as late as lap 40, Ireland would retake the lead by 4 seconds after green flag stops had cycled through. 

Ryan Jones shot into the lead on lap 55 and started to pull away from Ireland and the rest of the pack which was quite strung out by now. The second wave of green flag stops opened up on lap 66 as Ireland hit pit lane. Jones would have 7 seconds to make up on Ireland after his pit stop a few laps later with 25 laps to go. On lap 86 Jones flew by Ireland in turn 1 to take the lead and speed away to victory lane!
