Gen6 Series Recap:

Last Monday night the ANZCAR Lightning Rounds kicked off season 2 in the Gen6 NASCAR at Daytona SuperSpeedway. 20 entries lined the grid led by Shane Bowen and Barry Neale. 

The field held a tidy race throughout the first 3/4 of the race before a big crash on lap 65 took out several cars and another yellow a few laps after on lap 76 would push the race into a Green-White-Checker finish. Garry Wellman would restart in 3rd position on the final restart and at one point in 5th place coming to the white flag but after some great moves down the back stretch was able to take the victory as the field wrecked over the line!
