Legends Series Recap:
Monday night kicked off Season 3 of the Lightning Rounds as the boys tackled the NASCAR Legends around Richmond Raceway. Andrew Dyson beat out Ryan Jones for Pole as 21 cars filled the grid for the nights 150 lap race.
The green flag flew and the field was off and remained double file for the first few laps, Jones was able to take the lead on lap 6 as a caution flag flew for a prang in Turn 1. Drivers struggling on a hot race track with the cars becoming very loose to drive. Another 5 yellow flags would fall before lap 50 but finally at the 1/3 way mark things seemed to get underway with Edward Foster out front.
Josh Michelmore had himself out front at the halfway mark followed by Foster and Norman Clark, Garry Wellman and Riley Curtis rounded out the Top 5. Foster retook the lead during a long green flag run on lap 97 as Dyson was climbing his way back to the front after being involved in an earlier incident. A yellow on lap 108 would tighten the field up again with Dyson leading briefly before Foster retook the lead as a caution on lap 120 fell. Dyson would retake the lead in a similar fashion as the caution waved again lap 138 and the two would battle for the win with Wellman in 3rd.
