2024 ANZCAR Thunder Series Race 10 Homestead
Round 10 of the ANZCAR Thunder would come from Homestead Miami, the Florida sunshine was beating down on the track as the race got underway with Andrew Dyson holding the Pole ahead of Dave Douglas.
As the race got underway the lead pair started to drop back a little saving tires and fuel while JCW put the pedal to the metal Carroll-Walden taking the lead and easing him self away from the pack, while team mates Martin and Michelmore kept 2nd and 3rd locked down.
We saw a split of Strategy occur as some of the lead pack came down the lane for a 2 stopper while others such as Neal and Dyson stuck it out to try for the 1 stopper. At just over half way our leaders came in and for Neal and Dyson it caught them out with the Aotearoa driver clipping the wall on entry meaning Neal had a 6 minuet repair time, And Dyson catching what we assumed was a Penalty. This lead to Martin taking the lead ahead of Carroll-Walden and Douglas.
The best of the one stoppers ended up being DPR's Ireland in 9th
As the flag fell Martin would take the win with a fast charging Douglas snatching 2nd with Carroll-Walden in 3rd with Birthday boy Michelmore 4th and Bowen rounding out the top 5.
The Circus heads to Richmond next time around we hoep to see you all there
No incidents or Steward reports needed.
