The X-Finity series would head to Dover International Speedway for the Locked On Iracing Podcast 150 @ Dover.

Michael Scurlock would take the pole position from Josh Michelmore by 0.011 of a second with Dylan O’Shea and Jaiden Russell making up the 2nd row.

O’Shea would take over the lead early before the races only caution would come out on lap 9 for a single car spin. With a limit of 4 tires and the thought that there will likely be more cautions throughout the race the bulk of the field elected to not pit at this caution. A few cars down the back would pit and grab fuel only just in case.

From here the race would run green to the end with each driver needing at least 1 pit stop to make it to the end of the race. But a few drivers would try the 2-stop strategy with Dave Douglas in 11th the best finisher of the 2 stoppers.

O’Shea would continue to lead a good chunk of laps before Hamish Gallagher would take over the lead through the cycle of green flag pit stops. Luke Trahair would pit a bit earlier than most of the leaders and managed to make is tires last till the end.

A fair few drivers including Scurlock, Jones, and Hunter would wear the front right tire out (blow the tire) completely. Gallagher and Trahair would battle hard to the end of the race together managing passing through lapped traffic.

5th: Josh Michelmore
