2022 S2 Round 4 Trucks Results
Truck Series Recap:
Gateway Speedway held round 4 of the Affinity Constructions Truck Series on Monday night for the annual 110 lap run around the interesting circuit. 31 entries lined the grid for the start of the race led by Edward Foster who qualified on Pole and Michael Scurlock leading the outside row in 2nd.
A calm and collected field took the green flag which managed to stay out for the entirety of the 110 laps. Scurlock and Foster would lead the early stages of the race with Jason Martin, Hamish Gallagher and Josh Michelmore rounding out the top 5 who stayed there through the first half of the race. Andrew Dyson who had started at the rear of the field was steadily gaining positions and by the half way mark had driven his way up into the top 5 as green flag pit stops started on lap 53.
Scurlock unfortunately fell out of the race which handed the lead to Martin as Dyson closed in lap after lap. Luke Trahair had also come from outside the top 10 to have a crack at the top 5, some contact with Dyson stalled out that effort mid race but Trahair was able to recover and eventually put himself back in the top 5 at races end.
Dyson inched closer and closer to Martin as the race wound down, finally taking the lead on lap 96 and pulling away for the victory!
