Truck Series Recap:

Last night the Affinity Constructions Truck Series moved along to Mid Ohio for Round 8 of the season. A small field lined up for the race made up of only 12 drivers who would be led to the green flag by Edward Foster as he topped qualifying.

It was quite a wild race albeit limited numbers. Foster took the green flag and paced the field, Hamish Gallagher who qualified in 2nd came unstuck in the early laps, Luke Georgeson unfortunately had mechanical issues while running in the top 5 early. Aiden Schultz who qualified in 4th came unstuck midway through the race, while Jaiden Russell pushed forward trying to keep pace with Foster.

Danny G, Ruben Phelps and Norman Clarke battled away waiting to see who was going to make the first mistake, Russell had used up the life of his tires with 10 to go and came unstuck, not long after Danny G drove off into the grass and was passed by Phelps and the positions switched back when Phelps made a mistake the following lap.

Foster continued to pace the field up until the checkered flag with a dominating win, Danny G managed to hold off Norman Clark in the late laps to hold onto 2nd, Clark would cross the line in 3rd followed by Russell in 4th and Phelps who would round out the top 5.
